Filters Cartridges

Filter cartridges are used to filter out the metal particulates from the dielectric fluid. These filters are available in different sizes, to fit all EDM machines. They are composed of various filter media and micron ratings.

Comparators

This surface finish comparator is actually a "frozen picture in metal" of the surface appearance produced by EDM, standard traceable to the National Bureau of Standards. This comparator has 9 specimens of EDM finishes on tool steel 16 to 250 microinches (RMS). It is corrosion resistant nickel reproductions of actual machined surfaces.

Vac-U-Guards

The Vac-U-Guard is designed with two vacuum channels surrounding the wheel. It has a series of baffles and restrictions that utilize the air speed created by centrifugal force of the wheel. Secondary suction channel catches the dust being driven out by the wheel. It is made of lightweight cast aluminum and designed to be mounted on most any surface grinder using a maximum 8" diameter wheel.

MillVac Dust Collector

The MillVac dust collector is a new low-profile design that clears the workpiece in milling operations when using milling cutters of standard length and at typical working depths. A clear shield surrounds the cutter to offer the operator a view of the work area in excess of 180 degrees. Just attach a 3" dia. vacuum hose and MillVac is ready to go to work.

Torit Dust Collectors

Torit VS dust collectors provide high-efficiency, intermittent duty air cleaning by means of an exclusive Torit filter cartridge. High frequency vibration cleans the filter cartridge automatically when the blower is shut off. With an optional pressure switch, fiter cleaning initiates only after a preset static pressure across the filter is reached.

Dielectric Oil

Dielectric oil is in the work tank and acts as an insulating liquid between the electrode and workpiece. Our EDMS brand is a paraffin based dielectric and the IONO PLUS brand is a synthetic dielectric.
